Greetings from the nations’s capital. Passing on some information and asking for some feedback.
1. Camporee registration is available at the Texas Youth website (http://youngtexasadventist.org/extensions/msite/?page_id=2047). Early registration ends soon!
Also attached is a modification to one of the events.
2. Please reply to this email to let us know if you plan to attend (or not attend) camporee, and approximately how many will attend from your club (including staff). We are trying to make final preparations for space, events and other preparations.
3. We are looking for volunteers who can assist with setting up before or tearing down after Camporee. We will also be requesting volunteers to assist during Camporee with various functions (including showers). Please let us know if you will have staff or adults available to assist, and please consider that the Camporee only works with many volunteers. Your help is not only appreciated, it is necessary!
4. PBE and Mission Trip Materials:
There is a group of Pathfinders from all over Texas going to India on a Mission Trip and on the Sabbath of PBE they will be collecting materials to take there. These are the materials they will be collecting.
Mochila Backpack
Libretas. Notebook
Plumas. Pens
Lápices. Pencils
Marcadores Markers
Crayones. Crayons
Pegamento. Glue
Etc etc etc!
Backpacks do not need to be new but they do need to look good. Maybe you have too many Pathfinder shirts and you are not even using them and they still look new, bring them with you. Please help them bring a lot of things to those kids in India. Let us show them Texas Pathfinders love them. For more information contact Mercedes Villalvazo.
5. Invitation to participate in a parade:
There will be a Mansfield Pathfinder Parade from April 1, 3:00pm - 5:30pm, beginning at the Begin and end at the Mansfield Church, 1951 N.Main St, Mansfield TX. The theme for the Parade will be HEALTH, and there will be a rally at the church following the parade. All clubs are invited. If you are interested in joining, please contact Frederica Griffith by February 26.
Thank you all for all you do. We have been hearing of many wonderful things taking place by Pathfinder Clubs in Central Texas.
