Hello all,
Please note that the last day to register at the regular rate for the Aug. 15-16 AYMT Pathfinder Staff training for this year is July 25. Late registration runs through August 8, but is much more expensive. Please see information and registration at http://www.texasyouthministries.org/
Very few people have registered from Central Texas Pathfinder Clubs, and I am saddened to see that. This is an opportunity for new staff to gain knowledge and experience, for returning staff to learn from others, to strengthen their capabilities, to garner new ideas, to fellowship with one another from all over Texas. This is not only the Basic Staff Training, but the new NAD training program for youth leaders - AYMT. There are Tracks for Directors, for Instructors, for those dealing with Staff recruitment and Training, and an entire track on ways to use the whole of the Pathfinder program as a Ministry, both internally and externally. There are also tracks for TLTs and the TLT staff mentors, in addition to training for Adventurer leaders and the Master Guide seminars for those working on their Master Guide material.
This large-session training is only going to be offered every few years. I strongly encourage you to quickly communicate with your staff or potential staff, and your TLTs, pass on this information, and get registered. This is a service to you as leaders to help you in your professional and skills growth.
I am a strong supporter of "PROUD" leaders:
Prepared
Reliable
On Time
United
Developing
These characteristics and commitments help us to be role-model leaders. Personal development, preparedness, and unity are all aspects that will be enhanced through this weekend's training.
Again, please head over to http://www.texasyouthministries.org/ to see the full program and information, and get registered soon.
