Central Texas Pathfinder Update

11/25/2015

Hello all,

Sorry for the delay in messages this past few weeks. We have a few events upcoming to tell you about, and are in the planning stages for a few more.

December 19 will be a practice session for the Pathfinder Bible Experience. It will be held in the afternoon(specific time to be announced) at the Austin South SDA Church. We will have registration and details on the CTX website in the next week. Remember that this will be a full practice, so all participants must be in uniform. The church will assist with lunch before the program for those traveling from afar.

Our Central Texas Area Camporee will be March 25-27 (Easter weekend) at the ranch in Kyle (where we held our Camporee a few years ago). The theme is Walking with God in the Wilderness, and will focus on the time Israel was led by God through the wilderness during the Exodus (which also matches with the PBE this year). In keeping with the wilderness theme, please note that this will be a "no generator" camporee - please leave generators and electronics at home. You can practice your wilderness cooking skills (well, with camp stoves), and we can enjoy the quiet time to reflect on our walk with God. We are still looking for a few volunteers to help with the planning committees, so please let us know if you are interested or available. Committees include, but are not necessarily limited to, programming, safety and security, medical, activities, and facilities.

More to come when I get back to the states. Please pass this on to others involved in Central Texas Pathfinders, as we still have several clubs that haven't registered, and we may not have all contact information accurate.
