Central Texas Pathfinder Update

2/22/2015

Hello Central Texas Pathfinders

PINEWOOD DERBY: This Sunday, March 1, is the Central Texas Pinewood Derby, held at Stonehill Church (4301 Kelly Lane, Pflugerville, TX 78660). Check-in time begins at 9:00AM, for weighing and registering cars. Please bring your own lunch to the event. Also, let us know approximately how many cars you plan on entering (http://centraltexaspathfinders.weebly.com/pinewood-derby-registration.html).

PATHFINDER BIBLE EXPERIENCE: The Conference-level Pathfinder Bible Experience is Sabbath, March 7 at the Houston Central SDA Church (9425 West Sam Houston Parkway North, Houston, TX 77064). Registration begins at 1:45pm, there is a coach/grader meeting at 2:10pm, and all teams need to be seated by 2:20pm. The event will begin promptly at 2:30pm.

TEXAS CONFERENCE CAMPOREE: Remember, the Camporee is the first weekend in April. Please be sure to register by March 11. After that point, it is late registration, and the fee increases substantially. Use your UltraCamp log-in to view upcoming sessions, and find the Camporee registration. The events are available at http://centraltexaspathfinders.weebly.com/texas-conference-camporee.html. We also need some volunteer staff from Central Texas who are interested in leading or assisting with appropriate Sabbath afternoon activities. Please contact me if you are able to help out.

CLASS A UNIFORM: There were many questions at the Central Texas PBE regarding braids/cords on uniforms. Below (and posted on the CTX site) is the official Texas Conference decision on the use of braids/cords.

The Texas Conference Pathfinder Council voted the following in January 2013.
