*No generators, this is a quiet camporee
*We have several portable toilets, and have arranged multiple cleanings. There will be no showers available (but then Israel made it 40 years without a shower in the wilderness…)
*Please have your Dress Uniform for Sabbath
*We will be introducing the new CTX Drum Corps at the Camporee
*We will be grouping clubs into “tribes” (like those of Israel leaving Egypt). This is to encourage interaction between and among different clubs. We will send information later this week regarding the “tribes” and contact information to coordinate with one another.
*Sabbath School will be conducted by tribe. Please be prepared to participate, with singing, music, activities and discussion service based on the Exodus.
*Activities are based on basic Pathfinding skills - if your club works with the Investiture Achievement curriculum, you will be prepared
*We will mix clubs for participation in activities, to build camaraderie and to provide extra challenge and learning
*Please remember your material for the Adventist Community Service activity - we have more than 450 people registered for camporee, if each brought material for even just one ACS kit, that will be quite a way to show our commitment to service. ACS has a need for 1500 kits this summer.
*Please bring water for your club for this event, and be sure your Pathfinders have reusable water bottles - we do not want hundreds of plastic bottles littering the site, but we also want to avoid dehydration.
*As service to God and man our our motto, we will be trying something a little different this camporee. If you campsite is set up, go assist the next club that arrives in setting up their site. On Sunday, reverse the process - help other clubs tear down and pack up.
*We are looking to have a bonfire Saturday night, weather permitting. Feel free to bring snacks to cook over the fire, but don’t forget your sticks to cook on.
*Please remember that we are camping on private property. Please respect the property owner’s generosity by treating the grounds with respect.
*If your club is bringing a portable shower, you may set it up, but remember you will need to supply your own water, and you will need to ensure that you have dug a proper place for drainage and leave your space looking the same when you leave - no holes should be left in the ground.
*Please have a first aid kit in your club area, clearly marked and easily accessible. You will not need an emergency food/shelter kit.
*We will allow limited visits Sabbath for church, but you must let us know who is coming this week so we can arrange a list for security. Safety is a priority, and that means being aware of who is on site.
