Hello all, Camporee is almost here. Two important notes below. More to follow.
WATER - We will have water for Pathfinders to fill their water bottles during camporee, but Clubs are responsible to bring the water they need for cooking and cleaning.
“TRIBES”
When Israel left Egypt, they traveled and camped by tribes. For this camporee, we have grouped clubs by “tribes” as well. We do not have 12 tribes, as that would have left some clubs alone given their size, but we have formed 6 “double” tribes, listed below. Each has somewhere around 45 Pathfinders (not including staff), so there will be plenty of opportunities to meet new people, make new friends, and interact.
We will have the clubs camped around the central tent of meeting grouped by tribe (though each club has its own campsite, as usual). Sabbath School on Saturday morning will be conducted by tribe, so you will want to communicate with the other directors of your tribe to plan ahead. We encourage you to mix up your Pathfinders among clubs in the tribe for activities Sabbath afternoon and Sunday.
The purpose of the tribal alignment is simple - we want to encourage more interaction among clubs and among Pathfinders from different clubs. Each director is still responsible for their own club, but we would like to present an opportunity to share ideas, learn from one another, interact, and build lasting bonds.
