The AYMT training and Central Texas Area Pathfinder staff meeting was a success - we had more than 80 staff from around Central Texas attend for continuing education in Pathfinder club organization and management, staff and parent relations, and Pathfinder ministry. We would like to thank all of the volunteer instructors who took their time to share their information and expertise with us, and thank the translators who allowed us to offer all of the programs to a  multilingual audience. Once again the Scenic Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church was a gracious host for our program.

Central Texas Pathfinder Clubs - it is registration time. Please be sure to register with the Texas Conference and with the Central Texas Area. (You will need a password to access the Central Texas registration. If you do not have one, please contact your Area Coordinators.)

A few updates for all:

The dates for the Pathfinder Bible Experience are:
  • Area Level: February 7
  • Conference Level: March 7
  • Union Level: March 28 - Scenic Hills San Antonio
  • Division Level: April 17-18 in Dallas, TX

Further information and study helps are available on the Central Texas website here.

The new TLT manual has been released by the North American Division. You can find it here on the PathfindersOnline site, and we will soon have a TLT space on the Central Texas website.

The new requirements for Master Guide have also been released. They are available here on the Central Texas website. Please read the new requirements, there have been several changes. If you have already begun working on your Master Guide within the last two years, you may finish the program under the old requirements. If you started more than three years ago, and never completed the requirements, or if you are just starting, you will now be required to use the new requirements.

Finally, I hope you are gearing up for the Month of Service in October. This is a time to really put our faith into action, to reach out into our communities and make a difference. “I will be a servant of God and a friend to man.”

There are many programs you can join in your local communities, and as you make contact with these groups, let us know and we will build a service resource page here for other clubs to benefit from. You may also contact Adventist Community Services for ideas or program they need assistance with.

If you need inspiration, begin with the ACS Pathfinder Honors. Identifying Community Needs will help you make an assessment of your own community, and get you in touch with local community leaders to help identify where your club is needed. Once you have discovered all of the ways your club can assist your local community, put them into action while working on the Serving Communities, Feeding Ministries, Community Improvement, or Rural Development honors.

In closing, below are some pictures from the AYMT training, as well as pictures sent in by two Austin area clubs from their time in Oshkosh. Send in pictures of your club at Oshkosh, in service or other activities, and we will feature them here.
