Hello all,
We are looking forward to a wonderful Sabbath on March 28 in San Antonio! The Southwestern Union Pathfinder Bible Experience testing will take place, following a provided lunch, in the afternoon of March 28 at the Second Baptist Church in San Antonio, 3310 E. Commerce St. Registration will begin at 1:45, Grader/Scorekeeper’s meeting will take place at 2:00 and the Testing program will begin promptly at 2:30pm.
Also, for any Pathfinders or Staff who are available who are not participating in the PBE, we are also passing out invitations that Sabbath afternoon for the April 7-11 Pathway to Health Medical Mission Trip, one of the programs in San Antonio leading up to the General Conference session. Additional information on the Pathway to Health program is available at http://www.pathwaytohealthvolunteer.org/, or contact the Texas Conference office.
Updates from North American Division:
Pathfinder Bible Experience:
1. Beginning NEXT YEAR, any Pathfinder accepted into their local Pathfinder club (including those in 11th and 12th grade) is eligible to be a member of the Pathfinder Bible Experience team, regardless of age or grade. This will apply to all youth, but NOT to staff.
2. Beginning THIS YEAR, for testing where multiple languages are spoken, it is recognized that a PBE team may have team members who are most comfortable speaking/writing in a different language than the other members of the team. A team will not be required to choose a language at the beginning of the testing and only answer each question in that language. A team may answer questions in multiple languages but each individual answer sheet must all be in the same language. The language written on the answer sheet will determine which Bible translation will be the authority to answer that question.
3. PBE pins and bars are stand alone for each year. Prior to each year's Area Level Pathfinder Bible Experience testing the previous year’s PBE pin and bars are to be transferred to the Honor Sash.
Shoulder Cords:
The following is the newly voted NAD Shoulder Cord policy regarding style and colors. The colors listed are the only ones that were voted. The colors we voted in the Texas Conference, which do not conflict with the new voted colors still apply, however check the style.
NAD Policy:
