Hello all,
A few important announcements, reminders and requests.
1. Even if your Pathfinder Club is not taking part in the Union level Pathfinder Bible Experience, please bring as many Pathfinders and Staff to attend to assist with passing out the brochures for the Pathways to Health program. For those clubs with a PBE team, please bring the rest of the club, to assist with passing out the brochures. Sabbath morning will begin with Sabbath School and Worship in the Sanctuary of the Second Baptist Church, 3310 E. Commerce Street, San Antonio, Texas. This is just east of Downtown San Antonio, near the ATT Center. We will fellowship through worship and praise in the morning. We will be blessed to have our lunch served there at the church and gymnasium. In the afternoon we will have two activities, the PBE program and handing out the Pathways to Health brochures. We will all return to the Second Baptist Church for food and fun following our afternoon activities. The gymnasium will be open after sundown for basketball, volleyball and bowling! Many are also planning to take advantage of the discount tickets to go to Fiesta Texas (Six Flags) on Sunday. You must buy your tickets in advance. Please contact Suzanne Facundo at the SW Union Office.
2. Due to some problems with the UltraCamp website, they are extending the registration for the Texas Camporee at the $35 rate until and including WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25.
3. For those going to Camporee who like pin trading, there will be time to trade, so if you have leftovers or interesting pins from Oshkosh, or pins of your area, feel free to bring them. There will be some free time each day to facilitate pin trading, but also to get to know Pathfinders from other clubs.
4. We are looking for some staff or other adults with your club to assist in manning some of the events at Camporee. Central Texas will be staffing the relay race (Go Tell my Brethren), the Staff event (Bring Water), and the Orienteering event (Prepare the Body). If you have one staff member or other adult you can spare on Friday, it would greatly appreciated. We would like to have at least three stations for each event, to make it easier on the clubs to participate. Let me know as soon as possible, and thank you for helping out.
