PATHFINDER BIBLE EXPERIENCE: The Conference-level Pathfinder Bible Experience is this Sabbath, March 7 at the Houston Central SDA Church (9425 West Sam Houston Parkway North, Houston, TX 77064). Registration begins at 1:45pm, there is a coach/grader meeting at 2:10pm, and all teams need to be seated by 2:20pm. The event will begin promptly at 2:30pm.
Also, Gene Clapp has passed on that the Houston Central is planning a potluck dinner this coming Sabbath, March 7 and have asked their church members to bring extra food. If your team is planning to be there for potluck, it would be great if you would contribute to the food supply by bringing something to add to the table.
MONTH OF MISSION: Remember that for Central Texas, March is our Month of Mission. Phil/Am has just concluded their Youth Evangelistic Campaign. We encourage you to spend some time this month in evangelistic activities in your communities, and please send us reports and pictures of your club engaged in these endeavors. Remember, Pathfinders is a service and mission-oriented program.
TEXAS CONFERENCE CAMPOREE: Remember, the Camporee is the first weekend in April. Please be sure to register by March 11. After that point, it is late registration, and the fee increases substantially. Use your UltraCamp log-in to view upcoming sessions, and find the Camporee registration. The events are available at http://centraltexaspathfinders.weebly.com/texas-conference-camporee.html. We also need some volunteer staff from Central Texas who are interested in leading or assisting with appropriate Sabbath afternoon activities. Please contact me if you are able to help out.
PINEWOOD DERBY: Thank you to the teams who participated. This year was a low turnout, but we appreciate your time and the effort of the Pathfinders in preparing their cars. We have learned some lessons from this year, and will do better next year in preparation and execution of the Derby. Thank you to the Austin Knights who hosted the event. If any other club is interested in hosting next year, please take a look at your facilities (the track is fairly large) and let us know. We will work with you on scheduling.
