Pathfinder Bible Experience Update and Time Change

1/4/2015

Hello Central Texas Pathfinders and Happy New Year!

To begin, I would like to thank all of the clubs that have been keeping us up to date with their Monthly Reports. It is inspiring to see all the things the Pathfinder Clubs are doing to serve their communities. We will have an update on some of those activities on the CTX website soon - and I encourage the clubs to please send along at least a picture or two that we can include, to inspire other clubs and help raise awareness of the Pathfinder Club in our communities, so that we may continue to serve them. Our Motto here in Central Texas comes right from the Pathfinder  Pledge: “Servants of God, Friends to Man.” If we keep that in mind in all of our planning, we will be an impressive force for good, and a beacon drawing people to Jesus’ love!

The Pathfinder Bible Experience is arriving soon, and there are a few adjustments to the dates and times. The Central Texas PBE practice session will be held once again in the San Antonio and Austin areas. You may attend either session, but please register on the CTX website so they coordinators know how many to prepare for. One practice session is at the Durango Spanish SDA Church on Friday, January 16 at 7:00PM, the other practice session will be at the Austin South SDA Church on Sabbath, January 17 at 3:00PM. Please note those are the starting times, so arrive before that to be ready, and be sure your team and the coach are in their Class A Full Dress Uniforms.

The Area PBE will be held on Sabbath February 7 at 9:00AM at the Scenic Hills SDA Church in San Antonio. This is a change in time and location, but we are adjusting to accommodate the San Antonio Evangelistic Training Weekend with Mark Finley ahead of the General Conference session in San Antonio in July. We realize this will cause some problems for clubs coming longer distances. Please contact your Area Coordinators for any assistance or information you may need to help facilitate your earlier travel.

We would like to ask all of the San Antonio Area Pathfinder Clubs, whether you have a team in PBE or not, to help us out by bringing food to feed the PBE teams after the session that Sabbath.

The information on the Pathfinder Bible Experience page on the Central Texas Area website has been updated, and we will continue to update that page as we have now information.

One final reminder - if your club is not registered with BOTH the Texas Conference and the Central Texas Area, and your Conference and Area registration fees are not paid, your club will NOT be allowed to participate in the Pathfinder Bible Experience program, or the Texas Conference Camporee. Please be sure you are registered and paid up with both so you may continue to participate in Area and Conference activities.
